      <image:title>About Emily - Emily Coleman</image:title>
<image:caption>Hello. My name is Emily. I am a yoga instructor and military spouse. In 2014, I earned my 200-hour certification for Power Yoga through CorePower Yoga. Since then, I have earned certifications in Yin through Down Dog Yoga and Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery through Veterans Yoga Project. In 2021, I earned my 500-hour certification after the completion of a 300-hour certification through Inhale Thrive. I have taught classes at studios, fitness centers, and virtually to students of all ages and abilities, including children on a swim team, grandparents, military units, and dedicated practitioners. I come from a military family. My father was in the Coast Guard and we moved around the country, finally settling in California. In 1987, I met my husband. Thirteen years later, we were married just after he commissioned in the Army. We have been married for over 20 years. My first yoga class was over 20 years ago at an Air Force base gym. After that class, I continued to practice yoga with a VHS tape. It was not until 2010 that I began to enjoy it more. The teachers were able to share their love of yoga and I was able to enjoy how my body moved. I found a deeper connection to my body and mind. My philosophy about yoga is that yoga is for everyone. I understand everyone does not move the same way and we all have limitations or injuries. My teaching style reflects this. I strive to make yoga accessible to everyone. Besides teaching yoga, I enjoy spending time with my three kids, husband, and our adorable rescue puppy named Charlie.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Classes - Yoga Nidra</image:title>
<image:caption>Yoga Nidra is a powerful meditation technique and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. Yoga Nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation that isn’t found in your average meditation practice. Practicing the stages of body scan and breath awareness can calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health. Yoga Nidra range from 30 to 45 minutes.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Classes - Yoga Flow and Restore</image:title>
<image:caption>This unique class offers both Vinyasa (connecting breath to movement) and Restorative (using props to help support our bodies in various poses) elements. The first part of the class is an all-level flow connecting breath with movement, allowing the body and muscles to warm up. For the remaining part of the class, we will move to the ground and shift to a Yin-style class. Typically, we use a thick blanket and several throw pillows as props. Yoga Flow and Restore lasts about 60 minutes.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Classes - Yoga + Weights EXPRESS</image:title>
<image:caption>When muscle meets yoga, yoga + weights is born. Boost metabolism and build lean muscle mass as we move to upbeat tracks. We will combine free weights with traditional yoga poses and cardio to intensify each yoga pose while mixing in strength-training moves like squats, lunges, and bicep curls. Dumbbells are hard to find but we can get creative. Simply use dumbbells, milk jugs, laundry detergent containers, or cans of vegetables/soup. You can set down the weights at any time. Yoga + Weights Express lasts about 40 minutes.</image:caption>
